In this manuscript, we expand the concept of generalized altering distance function and introduced a generalized (𝛼ƒ − 𝛽𝜑) −contractive mappings and give fixed point theorems for such contractions in metric spaces. Some existing results of literature are also provided which are direct consequences of our main results.
